Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular Disease is responsible for 40% of all deaths in the United States. Heart disease and stroke are the first and third leading causes of death in the United States. Approximately 90% of middle-aged Americans will develop high blood pressure and nearly 70% who have it now do not have it under control. Much of heart disease and stroke could be eliminated by reducing risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, tobacco use, diabetes, physical inactivity and poor nutrition.
